Without our volunteers, we could not make any of our activities happen!

Marketing/Communication: Looking for Committee Team Member(s) to assist with outreach and marketing efforts through local equestrian businesses and online. Current committee heads are Jessica and Megan Gilker. Volunteer may need to go to websites such as localhorse.com, etc. or reach out to publications such as the Atlanta Horse Connections (those with calendars) and put in information about or email information about our upcoming events or simply spread the word about GAHA. Also print out flyers on GAHA and GAHA upcoming events to put at tack stores, feed stores, shows. Can also reach out to 4H clubs about our club, activities and events. Assist with creating flyers and marketing material as well as writing event summaries to send to local publications. Photography and any other design work may also be needed.

Membership: Help our Membership Chairperson send welcome letters to new members, keep track of expired memberships to follow up and invite them back, send PR/Marketing team list of new members monthly so we can welcome them in our newsletters and social media. Invite membership to provide feedback on events, send in their stories, photos, results, etc.

Schooling Show Volunteers: Volunteers to help behind the scenes and day of to make our schooling shows fun and a success! We would love assistance on promoting the show throughout the equestrian community. Have show experience? We need help organizing and keeping track of entry forms, answering questions of potential participants and coordinating and communicating with the show facility owner. Day of we will need assistance with check in/registration, judging, scoring, cleaning up after the show day is over and a few other areas.

Event Volunteers:  Volunteers to help with prior to event & day of. Prior: promoting event (via social media, flyers, etc.), inviting other location organizations to our events via phone or email, organizing participant/registration list, answer registrants' questions, raffle/sponsor coordinator, print off AHA & GAHA program information for display, create & print GAHA sponsor list flyer for day of display, etc. Day of: Check-in, raffle drawer, lunch set-up or pick-up, GAHA information table set-up, vendor check-in (if applicable), clean up & break down at end of the day, etc.

Sponsorships: Help our Sponsorship Chairperson - Responsible for tracking, getting and maintaining sponsorship and keeping board up-to-date with sponsorships. Chairperson & Chairmember would need to keep PR/Marketing committee up-to-date with any added sponsorship so they can be acknowledged and thanked on website, email blasts, social media, etc. to show our appreciation for their generous donations.

Raffles/Prizes: Do you know businesses that offer a service or product? Do you think they would be interested in donating a raffle or prize items for our events? Great way to get a business name or name out! We are looking for volunteers that can help us gather some great products that our event participants will like to help to make our events more fun.

Facility Use: Do you have an Arabian-based facility GAHA can use free of charge for an upcoming show/clinic/seminar/meeting? Let us know!

Volunteer at the Region 12 Youth Jamboree in Clemson, SC hosted by the WCAHA: Each year 3 Days of Free Clinics & a show at the end of the week is offered for Youth (18 & under).
